To ensure dry steam is delivered to the system, the steam header on Fulton pre-piped boiler steam systems includes the following:
- Vertical rise from the boiler
- Entrance to the main header is from the top
- Main header is sloped 1/2″ per 10′ towards drop leg
- Main header is sized for a maximum of 4,500ft/min at all operating conditions
- All steam flow is in one direction with no opposing flows
- Steam outlet is at the top and at the end of the header
- Full size, end of line, drop leg with trap connection
- Vacuum breaker is installed at t ahigh point on the header
- Pressure transducer tapping for boiler sequencing control
- Steam connection to boiler feedtank preheat is at a high point in the header
- Steam header is factory leak tested for quality assurance
